World
Football Club Rankings - Feb 1st 2010
Things
are really starting to heat up now. Everyone is eagerly
anticipating the start of Champions League play. Actually the Europa
League has some very intriguing match-ups too. The transfer window is
closed, and really there weren't many big moves. A lot of teams
missed opportunities to strengthen themselves. There aren't many
teams this year making a case to be in the top 10.
| 10. AC Milan |
 |
Bad
week for AC Milan. Dzeko would have made them contenders in Serie A,
now they'll just have to try their luck in the Champions League. |
| 9. Arsenal |
 |
Arsenal's
will need a win at Chelsea next weekend to remain in the rankings.
They can't fail any further behind in England. |
| 8. Bayern Munich |
 |
Bayern are charging fast. They've risen to the top in Germany, and certainly could make a long run in Europe. |
| 7. Roma |
 |
Is
there a hotter team in football world then Roma? They could be
the favorite to win the Europa League, but how long will this run of
good form last? |
| 6. Real Madrid |
 |
Very quiet January for Real. They and Barc look far an away better then any other team in Spain.
|
| 5. Bordeaux |
 |
For Bordeaux it's all about the Champions League. Everyone is wondering how far this team can go. |
| 4. Inter Milan |
 |
Inter Milan are flying under the radar. They've built up enough of a lead in Italy to start focusing on Chelsea. |
| 3.
Manchester United |
 |
Manchester had a huge win over Arsenal, and now have put alot of pressure on Chelsea. Maybe they're best team at the moment? |
| 2.
Chelsea |
 |
Chelsea had a good January, and now must hold off a fast charging United. Big game upcoming with Arsenal. |
| 1.
Barcelona |
 |
Barcelona
is on top yet again, but the gap is closing. They don't have many
big games over the month of February, and should be able to handle
Stuttgart fairly easily.
