WPIAL Football Sections Determined this Week

There will be some big news stories this week at the high school sports level. The WPIAL should set football sections for next year. Most eyes locally will be on who Kittanning will be matched up with. Long road trips could be on the way as teams like Hollidaysburg, Derry and Greensburg, could be on the Wildcat’s schedule. Also Ford City will be waiting to see if any surprise teams come into their section. This will really depend on how many teams are in each section. An even bigger question locally is will Ktg and FC have an open date to schedule a game against each other. Athletic directors will be able to start scheduling non-section games once the section schedule is set.
