The Big 2010 Story

It will be interesting story that will play out over the coming months 2010. The re-opening of Elderton High School, will certainly have major implications on local high school sports, and it’s a story that will probably have many twists and turns during the year. We don’t even know for certain if Elderton will even have athletics this year. The people who pushed for Elderton to re-open would look real silly if 30% or more of their would-be students don’t come back. If those transfer students play sports, Elderton could certainly ask the WPIAL to investigate “transferring for athletic intend”. Whatever happens will be chaos for everyone involved from Elderton, Ford City, and West Shamokin, that’s why it will easily be the most discussed story over the next 12 months.
