Armstrong County Basketball Rankings – 1/6/10

It’s Armstrong County’s version of the BCS. Ultimately by the end of the season the rankings should determine the best high school basketball team in the County. It’s still very early so expect many changes before they end of the year. The Rankings through 1/6 have Kittanning slightly ahead of Freeport in boy’s basketball. In girls it’s an undefeated Apollo Ridge Team ahead of Kittanning. The current top two teams unfortunately are not scheduled to play this year. Who wouldn’t want to see the Freeport Boys vs. Kittanning? It also would be very interesting to see how Apollo would match up against a triple-A Kittanning Girls’ Team. I think we need a County Title Game.
