Pitt Missed their Chance

The Pitt Panthers could have been in a BCS Bowl. However they make what is becoming a cardinal sin in college football. They scored in a tie game with more than forty seconds left. They were inside the 20, all they had to do was hold the ball and kick a field goal and they win. College football is weighted in favor of the offense now more than ever. College Football coaches are going to have to be more aware of this strategy. I still think Cincinnati let Lewis score. Regardless of their missed extra point, Cincinnati would have never had a chance to win the game without the football. Moving on, Fox should have been smart enough to cancel the BCS and instead replace it with the four undefeated teams in a playoff. Alabama vs.TCU in the Sugar, Cinninati vs. Texas in Cotton Bowl, winners meet Thursday in the BCS Title Game.
