Elderton Effect on Local High School Sports

Elderton high school or its former students have had and are currently having a major effect on the local high school sports scene. A lot of students chose new schools based on athletic programs. With the reopening of Elderton in 2010, what effects will it have on the local sports scene? I have no answers just a lot of questions. First will Elderton even offer athletic programs this year? Will re-alignement now have to be resifted? For example will West Shamokin which is scheduled to move up in classification now not move up? Will Elderton get all of its students back, for example if you’re a junior this year and from the Elderton attendance area, will you have to enroll back in Elderton? I guess we’ll see…
