WPIAL Football – Kittanning vs. Ford City to Open the Season?

Local football fans might not have to wait long for a rematch between Kittanning and Ford City. I believe we’ll see a rematch on opening night of the Football Season. I know Ford City fans can’t wait for another chance at the Wildcats… so much so that Kittanning might be able to force the game to be played back in Kittanning again. Based on the number of teams in each classification, I expect Ford City to have one open date, and Kittanning to have two. Of course, that open date for Ford City will most likely be opening week.

I see no reason why Kittanning and Ford City would not want to play. As I mentioned on last Tuesday night’s cable show, the money generated by the game can’t be turned down. Most importantly, the kids (and parents) live for this game.

Opening week… get ready! It’s going to happen!
