PIAA ReAlignment Bombshell: Kittanning Football to “AAA”

The PIAA re-alignment numbers are out, and Kittanning Football is moving to “AAA”. We’ve been saying this for a long time. I can say for certain this comes as a shock to Kittanning. We’ll have more to come, and plenty to talk about tonight on RSW.

The WPIAL is still sometime away from doing schedules, so we can’t say for certain who will be included in Kittanning’s section or any section for that matter We also can’t say if they’ll have an open date to play Ford City. Outside of football the rest of the sports will remain in the same classification.

There are now 32 in the WPIAL in “AA” this should mean 4 sections of 8 teams, thus leaving space for at least one non-section game.

The big story is how many single “A” schools will play up, and also if Holidaysburg joins the WPIAL in “AAA”.
