H.S. Basketball A Week Away.

There is a lot of uncertainty as local boys basketball teams prepare for the 09-10 season. Ford City and West Shamokin have lost most of their players from last season’s playoff squads. A lot of eyes will be on former Elderton, now Ford City center 6foot8 junior Dillen Statler. Kittanning will again be favored to be the top team in the county. The Cats return a lot of contributors, and could have a chance at the playoffs. I also expect Freeport to field a strong team as they have many starters back. Kittanning will host Ford City on Tuesday Jan 5th, maybe I can persuade FLTV to do the game live, as it should be a sell-out. Besides that game there will be a lot of non-section local match-up especially in December.
