What did I miss?

A cold eyes perspective on what happened over the last 12 days. The big surprise locally was Ford City losing two straight football games. Right now the odds favor either Kittanning or FC making the playoffs, not both teams. It should make for quite a stretch run. Freeport and Shady Side have favorable schedules and on paper both should finish with only one loss. Burrell at Kittanning on Friday will be another huge game. Elsewhere the Steelers look to be on solid ground with a 3-2 record. Pitt Football is gaining confidence in the Big East, and I’m predicating a Notre Dame upset over USC on Saturday. In baseball, I think we might be on course for a classic Yankees vs. Dodgers match-up in the World Series, that said I expect both league championship series to go down to the wire.
