Freeport Football vs. Ford City Tonight

There is a big showdown tonight in Ford Cliff, as the Freeport YellowJackets come to town. The Sabers are of course 4-0 heading into tonight’s game, but Freeport is coming off of a big home win against Burrell. Ford City is a young team that hopes to have some key guys healthy for tonight’s game. The winner of this game will join Shady Side as the favorite for the conference title. The schedule was kind to Ford City, which has allowed them to gain a lot of experience and to their credit they have taken care of business. Freeport however is very serious about this being their year, so this should be a good one. The real season for the Sabers starts tonight, and with next week’s Thursday night trip down to Shady Side, Saber fans are in for a wild ride.
