Fans Favor the Sabers over Wildcats

Local high school football fans are clearly predicting the Sabers to extend their winning steak against the Wildcats. Voting on RizzoSports.com at last check has over 70% choosing Ford City. The Sabers in the past have relished the role of underdogs, but that term has not been applicable to the Sabers’ football team this decade. It’s tough to argue with the fan’s choice, as the Sabers certainly are hitting their stride, and the young team that was in August now has whole season of experience. Friday night won’t be the first time the Wildcats entered the game with good players and a team capable of winning. However, Ford City for the last six seasons have game planned for Kittanning perfectly. The general consensus is the Saber coaches have been near flawless in their game calling and preparation, and that is probably why people like them tomorrow night too.

***Update: While Ford City came out of the gate as the early favorite, Kittanning is starting to get some more votes. Don’t forget to vote.
