The Spread Poor Fit for Kittanning Football?

2009 September 8

kittanningwilcatslogoKittanning’s half spread half wing T offense might not be most ideal for the program. On Friday night it looked like the Wildcats were unsure of what they wanted to do offensively. The one thing Kittanning is known for traditionally is tough running backs. Not for having great receivers, passing quarterbacks, or speedsters. If KHS remains in AA and that looks to be the case, because the school has one of the highest enrollments, at worst they should have an average sized line. Maybe all the Cats need to do was add a few more looks to keep defenses a little more honest. Even though the spread offense is the current trendy offense, it doesn’t seem like a match for Kittanning. All eyes will be on what they do Friday offensively against Valley. Post your thoughts?

In other local high school sports news, Freeport and Kittanning tied 3-3 in a sensational opening game of section soccer.
