Pens Fans Ready for Detroit

This weekend, Pens fans get their wish as Pittsburgh will meet Detroit in a Stanley Cup Final rematch. Despite losing to the Red Wings last year, Penguins fans seem to believe this time the outcome will be different. The first game of the series is Saturday night at 8PM, followed by a night game on Sunday. You have to think the back-to-back games favor the younger Pens. Obviously, the Pens are hoping for a lot more from Malkin this year, and he could be the difference. I personally think the key will Detroit’s defense. No one has been able to shutdown the Pen’s offense. If the Red Wings can at least hold down the amount of shots Pittsburgh takes, then their offense should be able to match the Pens. If the Pens can win one game this weekend, then they will be in good shape, as the pressure is on Detroit.
